Gender and Budget: 50 billion FCFA to accelerate equality

The Interministerial Committee responsible for monitoring Gender-Sensitive Budgeting is stepping up.
On Thursday, September 3, 2026, Yaoundé hosted the capacity-building workshop for its members. Presided over by the Secretary General of MINFI, Gilbert Didier Edoa, the meeting aims to make the State budget a true lever for equality.
After several advances in integrating gender into programming tools, the challenge is to accelerate implementation.

On Friday, September 4, the second session of the Committee will be held. It will allow evaluating the 2025 roadmap, validating that of 2026, and examining the foundations of a future Center of Excellence dedicated to BSG.
