In a statement dated September 17, 2026, the Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of the State Supreme Audit, President of the Budgetary and Financial Disciplinary Council (CDBF), Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam, issues an urgent summons.
The State Supreme Audit is taking action. And in its sights are current and former municipal executive leaders. This Thursday, the Minister Delegate to the Presidency of the Republic in charge of the State Supreme Audit, President of the Budgetary and Financial Disciplinary Council (CDBF), summons certain heads of some decentralized local authorities. They are required to present themselves at his offices, in building B (second floor, door B 203), located opposite the administrative prosecutor’s office, “for a very urgent matter concerning them.”

What the summoned individuals risk
The summons from the Budgetary and Financial Disciplinary Council is not a trivial call. This body is the administrative jurisdiction that judges management faults committed by public budget authorizing officers. A summons “for a very urgent matter” generally means that the Consupe audit has already completed its report and detected serious irregularities which may include overbilling, fictitious public contracts, embezzlement, use of communal funds for personal purposes, or failure to remit revenues.
Sanctions provided by law range from fines and debits (obligation to reimburse), to prohibition from holding public office for several years, or even referral of the case to the Special Criminal Court (TCS) if the amount exceeds 50 million FCFA.
This action is part of the major operation to clean up the management of decentralized local authorities launched since 2024 by the presidency, following several damning reports on the management of BIP and Feicom funds in town halls.
