The CEMAC Resident Representative in Cameroon received Mr. TSAMBANG, representative of the Chorus Architecture firm, on August 20, 2026. On the agenda of this strategic meeting: the promotion of architecture and urban planning in Central Africa, with the 10th edition of the Strategic Manifesto of Archi-Talks in sight.
Strengthening innovation to better build Central Africa. This is the stated ambition following the meeting granted by the CEMAC Resident Representative to Mr. TSAMBANG, representative of the Chorus Architecture firm.
This meeting is part of the Commission of CEMAC’s desire to create new institutional synergies around issues of urban planning, sustainability, and competitiveness of cities in the sub-region.
At the heart of the discussions was the presentation of the 10th edition of the Strategic Manifesto of Archi-Talks. This pan-African initiative brings together architects, urban planners, public decision-makers, and investors around the challenges of the African city of tomorrow.
For Chorus Architecture, it is about promoting a local vision, rooted in the realities of the CEMAC Zone, while opening up to international standards of sustainable construction. Mr. TSAMBANG advocated for institutional support from CEMAC to give more visibility to experts and the youth in the sector. The goal: to make the voices of architects and urban planners in the region heard in major planning and investment decisions.

Towards concrete partnerships
The two parties also explored ways to connect with strategic actors and key decision-makers in the sub-region. The aim is to weave a network of opportunities for financing modern, inclusive, and environmentally friendly infrastructure projects.
In response, CEMAC reaffirmed its commitment to support initiatives led by local experts and youth. For the community institution, it is urgent to build resilient cities that create jobs and meet climate challenges.
This meeting thus marks the beginning of strengthened dialogue between the Commission and architecture firms in the zone. A dynamic that could lead to joint pilot projects and better integration of urban policies in the CEMAC Zone.
