Seven weeks after the end of the postponed GCE exams, ears are turned towards the GCE Board awaiting the exam results. Candidates and their parents still ask themselves: “Nearly two months already, but when will the results be out?” At the slightest rumor about their publication, hearts race. And the void encourages the spread of false news.

Communiqués from sources with likely malicious intentions flood the web. Some claim that the exams are canceled. Others announce that the results are available. The reality is quite different. Unlike previous sessions, the results of the 2026 session are arriving with a slight delay as in 2022 when they were made public on August 19 shortly before the school year started. For the next two sessions, candidates were informed of their fate on July 24, 2023, and the same date in 2024. In 2025, it was on August 1 that the GCE Board released the exam results.
However, each session has a particular context. That of 2026 is the massive cheating that marred the written exams. Scheduled to take place between June 8 and July 18, 2026, some exams were postponed between June 22 and July 2, 2026. The suspension of the session and the resumption due to the massive leak of exams on social networks is the main reason for the delay in publishing the results.

Nevertheless, behind the scenes, well-placed sources within the governance of the institution responsible for organizing the GCE exams announce the imminent publication of the 2026 session results. For some, it is only a matter of hours. For others, there is no certainty. In any case, the wait continues, even if the end of the tunnel is in sight.
