Presented on August 25, 2026 in Yaoundé by MINEPAT Alamine Ousmane Mey, the 4th edition of the Report on the Cameroonian economy confirms the resilience of the national economy, driven by the dynamism of the non-oil sector and a decline in inflation.
In an international environment marked by geopolitical tensions and a slowdown in global trade, Cameroon stays the course.

According to the 2025 report, the country shows a real growth of 3.5%, stable compared to 2024.
The engine of this resilience is clear: non-oil activities, which grow by 3.8%. A performance that attests to the beginning of economic diversification. Another positive sign, inflation falls sharply to 3.4%, compared to 4.5% in 2024, offering some relief to purchasing power.
Beyond the numbers, the document is intended as a decision-making tool. It scrutinizes the major macroeconomic balances, competitiveness, investment, and the implementation of public policies, while pointing out persistent vulnerabilities to external shocks.
For Minister Alamine Ousmane Mey, the challenge is now action: “The true value of this report lies in our collective ability to transform lessons into decisions and recommendations into concrete reforms.”
