The former, the hierarchical superior of the latter in the party, said he learned of the initiatives to reconfigure and split certain units of the political formation in the name of revitalization. Praising the dynamic of mobilizing the grassroots in the run-up to the legislative and municipal elections, the party leader in the Centre calls on the leader of the Upper Sanaga to note that this initiative constitutes a violation of the regulations governing the party.
Indeed, “any new division or splitting of a party unit is subject to the prior agreement of the Secretary General of the party’s Central Committee,” he recalls. Gilbert Tsimi Evouna therefore prescribes that the constituencies of the Upper Sanaga remain as they were established during the renewal of the basic bodies’ offices carried out in 2021.
