The Association of OHADA Clubs of Cameroon (LCOC) reviews the 2026 edition of the national week by presenting the key highlights in a publication dated July 16.
Students, academics, legal practitioners, and business actors took part in the 9th edition of the national week of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (Ohada) in June 2026 at the University of Douala. Marked by a scientific conference, a panel, as well as the 9th edition of the inter-university competition called the National Contest of the Indomitable Ohada (Cnio), the event ended on a high note.

Five university institutions participated in the competition. The University of Douala outperformed the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon (Iric), the Catholic University of Central Africa (Ucac), the University of Garoua, and the University of Yaoundé II. The latter university ranks second behind the first.
Special distinctions went to the University of Yaoundé II, which won the Best Thesis Award, and to the University of Garoua, which won the special prize “Accounting System for Non-Profit Entities” (Sycebnl). Furthermore, a candidate from the University of Garoua earned the distinction of Silver Pleader, a candidate from the University of Douala the Bronze Pleader distinction, and another from the same university, a Gold Pleader distinction.

The competition aimed at forming a national team to represent Cameroon at the international contest Génies en herbe Ohada resulted in the selection of the team members. Four candidates were chosen. They will participate in the 17th edition of the international contest to be held in Lomé, Togo, in September 2026.
The association also announces having obtained four internship promises for the benefit of its members. The beneficiaries are competitors who distinguished themselves in the national contest. Through these various actions and initiatives, the organization fulfills its mission of promoting Ohada law, scientific emulation, practical training, and professionalization of youth in Cameroon.
