Received in audience on July 21, 2026, by the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco discussed with Cameroonian authorities the strengthening of cooperation in the agropastoral and fisheries sectors. A meeting focused on food sovereignty and technology transfer.
Cameroon and Morocco intend to give new impetus to their partnership in the fields of livestock, fisheries, and animal industries. During an audience granted to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr. Taïga, reviewed the main avenues of cooperation likely to support the transformation of the sector.

The discussions focused on common priorities, including strengthening food sovereignty, sharing expertise, and transferring technology. The government member presented the orientations of Cameroonian policy for modernizing the sector, in coherence with the National Development Strategy 2020-2030 (SND30) and the Integrated Agropastoral and Fisheries Import-Substitution Plan initiated by the President of the Republic.

This consultation illustrates the will of both states to consolidate cooperation based on mutual interests and shared development objectives. It paves the way for deeper technical exchanges and the implementation of projects likely to strengthen the capacities of stakeholders in the livestock, fisheries, and animal industries sectors in both countries.
