The Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) officially received the Internal Audit Guide on July 21, 2026, in Yaoundé. Developed by experts from the Superior State Control, this tool aims to strengthen internal control mechanisms and promote more rigorous management of public resources.
Amphitheater 300 of MINEPAT served as the setting for the official ceremony for the handover of the Internal Audit Guide, jointly presided over by the Minister of Economy, Alamine Ousmane Mey, and the Minister Delegate to the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Superior State Control (CONSUPE), Rose Mbah Acha Fomundam.
Designed by experts from the Superior State Control, this document now constitutes a reference framework intended to guide the missions of the MINEPAT General Inspectorate. Its objective is to harmonize audit practices, improve control procedures, and consolidate the prevention of attacks on public assets.
In her speech, Rose Mbah Acha Fomundam emphasized the importance of standardizing working methods to align national practices with international internal audit standards. For his part, Alamine Ousmane Mey advocated for a wide dissemination of this guide, hoping that it would become a true vade-mecum within public administrations, serving transparency, good governance, and the performance of public action.
