On March 13, the Delegate General for National Security issued a circular warning police officers about wearing uniforms, distinctions, posting on social networks, and sharing confidential documents.
This is a call to order that the police chief is addressing to police officers who do not respect the rules of ethics of the National Security. In his circular of March 13, 2026, Martin Mbarga Nguele reminds his personnel that they are required to wear the official service uniform along with rank attributes and identification badges. This prohibits them from wearing work clothes other than those established by the texts in force, as well as unauthorized items. These include piercings, anklets, non-regulatory badges, shoes, and extravagant hairstyles that must not be worn with service uniforms.

Furthermore, the Delegate General reminds them that they must not show themselves in National Security uniform on social networks. Also, in the media as well as on social networks, publications and interventions by police officers in service uniform are strictly prohibited except in cases expressly authorized by the head of the corps.
Other measures on which the Delegate General for National Security insists are the wearing of foreign honorary distinctions and the dissemination of confidential documents. Martin Mbarga Nguele reminds that the President of the Republic must first authorize the wearing of foreign honorary distinctions. Furthermore, any police officer guilty of disseminating “confidential” or “secret” documents will be brought before the National Security disciplinary council.
