On August 17, 2026, MINESEC presented its strategy to integrate Artificial Intelligence into secondary education at the AIDL Center, aiming to make learning interactive, practical, and accessible, even offline. The blackboard gives way to the virtual. The Ministry of Secondary Education MINESEC has just made a major digital shift by placing Artificial Intelligence at the heart of pedagogy. During a strategic public conference held at the Distance Learning Center by AI AIDL on August 17, 2026, Minister Nalova Lyonga, accompanied by Secretary General Nkot Fabien and SEESEN Bayaola Boniface, officially launched the integration of AI-generated simulations in schools.

The figure sets the tone. According to Mr. Muluh Godson, National Pedagogical Inspector of Computer Science, MINESEC designed more than 250 bilingual simulations, free and usable without internet connection in less than a month. For comparison, the University of Colorado reportedly spent 1.5 billion FCFA for only 35 simulations. “Compatible with different equipment and ready to use in class,” the tool aims to break down cost and infrastructure barriers.
Specifically, AI allows what traditional laboratories cannot. Teachers of Chemistry, Biology, Arts and Letters, Industrial Techniques demonstrated virtual combustion experiments, immersive laboratories, and even antibiograms impossible to safely conduct in a classroom. For Inspector General Adjaba Biwoli Jean Pierre, the challenge is clear: make learning “more interactive, practical, and accessible” and prepare students for a digital world.

But beware of dehumanization. In closing, the minister warned: AI must remain a tool. She emphasized “structuring, reasoned use” and the importance of “prompting.” The message to teachers: train students to be creators, not mere consumers of technology.
By betting on AI, MINESEC is betting on a more affordable, inclusive, and equitable school. In a country where not all high schools have labs, simulation becomes a tremendous accelerator of equality.
