The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, ABENA ONDOA née Marie Thérèse, announced on February 17, 2026, that she will chair the official national launch ceremony for the activities of the 41st edition of International Women’s Day. The event will take place on Friday, February 20, 2026, starting at 10 a.m. in the locality of Nkoteng, located in the Haute-Sanaga division, Center Region.
Placed under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action for all women and girls”, this edition aims to mobilize public authorities, civil society, and development partners around the promotion of the rights of women and girls. The ceremony will mark the kickoff of a series of activities aimed at strengthening equal opportunities, social justice, and women’s empowerment throughout the national territory.
