The Debt Collection Company explains the origin of said collection as well as its basis in a statement dated July 20, 2026.
According to the document signed by the general manager of SRC Marie Rose Messi, the collection is related to the opening of an account with the Union Bank of Cameroon (UBC) showing an old debit balance. The debt collection company issues this statement to clarify and deny certain statements circulating on social media.

These remarks explain the collection by a certain debt created following a recent political stance taken by the main person involved, Rebecca Enonchong in this case. And the same sources try to explain that no document exists on this case. But this is not true according to SRC. Not only does it explain the origin of the matter, but it also indicates that there are documents for this case. These include identification and account operation documents, the debt statement, the legal closure of the account, the assignment notification, payment summons, as well as enforcement acts provided for by the applicable laws.

The collection targets the company APPSTECH, which has as its director or authorized representative identified Mrs. Rebecca Enonchong. She was notified for the repayment of the debt owed to APPSTECH amounting to 7,434,263 CFA francs. In her capacity as director of this company, the person concerned is called upon to respond for it and has the right to contest the debt or enforcement acts before the competent courts. Thus, according to these clarifications, this is not a personal matter mounted against Rebecca Enonchong, an influential woman who often does not hide her positions against the regime.
