Maroua: FEICOM strengthens its support for structuring projects in the Far North

Meeting on April 27 and 28, 2026 in Maroua, a FEICOM mission worked with the Regional Council of the Far North to accelerate the development of major projects, including the Regional Hotel and a pilot agropole.

The Regional Council of the Far North hosted, on April 27 and 28, 2026, a working mission from FEICOM, deployed under the instruction of its Director General. Led by Brice Mbabou, Director of Project Engineering for CTD Development, the team also included Louise Tekapso, Marguerite Fanta, and Florian Kante.
The objective is to provide technical and financial support to the Region in structuring priority projects, notably the construction of the Regional Hotel and the establishment of a pilot agropole. The work, chaired by Professor Haman Djalo, made it possible to present the methodological approach for implementation, specify technical and financial requirements, and review the progress of the files.

The exchanges also served to assess the funding already mobilized, identify operational constraints, and formulate concrete recommendations to improve project efficiency. Beyond technical aspects, the meeting provided a space to express regional priorities in terms of infrastructure, urban planning, and structuring equipment.

FEICOM reaffirmed its commitment to supporting balanced and sustainable development of the region. For its part, the president of the Regional Council welcomed this support, while highlighting the interest of the “Education” program and expressing the institution’s gratitude for this constant assistance.
