Cameroon: the Minister of Public Works inspects the Ebebda bridge

Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi visited the Ebebda bridge on April 12, 2026, to observe the problems caused by speed bumps.

The speed bump system installed on the Ebebda bridge is the subject of a complaint to the Minister of Public Works. Inconveniences suffered by some users of National Road No. 4 are due to the speed bump fixing screws. A system installed to slow down trucks carrying sand, whose behavior disturbs other road users, particularly on the bridge.

Having visited the site, the government member noted that these screws were poorly fixed at the time the speed bumps were installed. Hence the inconveniences caused to road users, which they took the trouble to report so that measures could be taken for the safety of those crossing the bridge. The first measure preceded the minister’s arrival. The day before, the speed bumps were removed. Minister Nganou Djoumessi also ordered a detailed inspection of the follow-up of the work carried out.
