
Gathered in Yaoundé, the Cameroonian government, the African Development Bank, and their partners reviewed the progress of the 2023-2028 Country Strategy Document as well as the performance of projects funded by the institution within the national territory.
The implementation of the cooperation strategy between Cameroon and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has reached a new milestone. The institution’s Resident Representative took part, on July 14 in Yaoundé, in the presentation ceremony of the mid-term review of the Country Strategy Document (CSD) 2023-2028, coupled with the 2026 Review of the performance of the portfolio of projects funded by the AfDB.

The meeting brought together several government members, officials from the African Development Bank, as well as representatives from the private sector and civil society. The objective was to assess the progress made since the launch of the CSD, identify constraints hindering project execution, and consider necessary adjustments to improve their effectiveness.

This exercise constitutes a strategic meeting to assess the impact of AfDB interventions in Cameroon and strengthen coordination among the various actors involved in implementing development programs. The conclusions of this review should guide actions to be taken during the second half of the period covered by the Country Strategy Document, in order to accelerate the achievement of the set objectives.
