
The Cameroonian army neutralized four members of the Boko Haram terrorist group during the night of February 25 to 26, 2026, in the locality of Bargaram near Hilé-Alifa.
A new Boko Haram attack took place last night at the Rapid Intervention Battalion post in Bargaram, in the Hile-Alifa district, Logone and Chari department, Far North region. According to information from security and unofficial sources, a group of armed men from the neighboring country broke into the BIR post around 2 a.m. and attacked the occupants. The response from the army elements resulted in a heavy toll on the Boko Haram side.

Four attackers were neutralized while an army soldier lost his life. Furthermore, the Cameroonian army elements seized military equipment from the attackers. It consists of two Kalashnikovs, an M21 rifle (No. 11021), a PKM (No. NT 234), an AC rocket, four hand grenades, 47 rounds of ammunition (5.56×45), 112 rounds (7.62×39), 429 rounds (7.62×54), six AK47 magazine boxes, four M21 magazine boxes, among others.

The toll is close to that recorded by the army during the Boko Haram attack that occurred at the same post on the night of February 18 to 19, 2026. The BIR’s response to this terrorist group attack led to the death of five attackers. Like those who attacked last night, the terrorists that night came from the same neighboring country.
