The Board of Directors has served a formal notice to Maître Elame Bonny for the full restitution of the amounts received.

A strong tension is currently shaking the legendary club of the Littoral, Aigle Royal du Moungo. In an official correspondence dated February 16, 2026, the club’s Board of Directors sent a formal notice to Maître Elame Bonny, a lawyer at the bar and presented as a facilitator in the management of subsidies intended for the team.

According to the document consulted by our editorial staff, Maître Elame, who is not a statutory member of the club, received a power of attorney on May 2, 2025, from the Secretary General of the Board of Directors to collect, on behalf of Aigle Royal du Moungo, the subsidies and shares paid by the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot).

The club claims that, despite the actual collection of funds from Fecafoot, these were not transferred to the bank account of Aigle Royal du Moungo. The leaders also say they have received no justification regarding the potential use of the sums collected.
In the formal notice letter, the Board of Directors demands within 48 hours:
The full restitution of the amounts received,
the production of detailed justifications in case of expenses incurred.
Failure to comply within the allotted time, the club officials announce their intention to initiate appropriate legal proceedings against the lawyer, as well as a formal report to the governing body of Cameroonian football.

The case takes on a particular dimension due to the profile of Maître Elame Bonny. The lawyer is indeed presented as the personal counsel of Samuel Eto’o, president of Fecafoot, and also as the lawyer for the Cameroon Football Federation itself.
The Board of Directors’ letter also explicitly mentions the possibility of referring the matter to Fecafoot and its president, Samuel Eto’o Fils, in the event of an unsatisfactory response.

In Nkongsamba, this situation is already fueling debates among supporters and local football stakeholders. Aigle Royal du Moungo, facing recurring financial difficulties, considers these subsidies vital for its operation and competitiveness.
At the time of publishing these lines, Maître Elame Bonny has not yet reacted publicly to this formal notice. The coming days could prove decisive for the evolution of this case, which could quickly take a legal and institutional turn within Cameroonian football.
