PROLOG and the National School of Local Administration signed on August 31, 2026, in Yaoundé a 850 million FCFA agreement over 12 months to train nearly 2,000 leaders of the CTDs from six regions on local governance.
Decentralization is moving up a gear. The Local Governance and Resilient Communities Project (PROLOG) and the National School of Local Administration (NASLA) sealed a collaboration agreement of nearly 850 million FCFA for a duration of twelve months on August 31, 2026, in Yaoundé.
Objective: to strengthen the capacities of Decentralized Territorial Collectivities. In the coming days, nearly 2,000 elected officials and local leaders from the regions of the Far North, North, Adamawa, East, Northwest, and Southwest will benefit from targeted training on financial governance, human resource management, and civil status.
The initiative aims to equip local actors with skills and tools to improve local public management and the quality of services provided to the populations.
Through this partnership, PROLOG and NASLA reaffirm their commitment to more effective decentralization, supported by qualified human resources. “Strengthening the capacities of CTD actors must be concretely reflected in the quality of services provided to the populations,” emphasized the Minister of Decentralization and Local Development.
