
The President of the Republic Paul Biya has published three decrees, including one promoting five official officers to the rank of brigadier general and two others appointing officials at the Ministry of Defense.
They are one from the National Gendarmerie and four from the Army, promoted to the rank of brigadier general by presidential decree of August 3, 2026.

Another decree from the President of the Republic appoints general officers at the Ministry of Defense. Indeed, Brigadier General Agha Robinson Ndong is appointed logistics advisor. Brigadier General Eloundou Mesmin Magloire Aristide is appointed central director of administration and logistics. Major General Ebaka Hippolyte is appointed chief of staff of the armed forces, Major General Nka Valère is appointed commander of the joint training schools and centers.
Brigadier General Assoualai Blama is appointed commander of the International Higher War School. Brigadier General Épié Ngome Wilson is appointed inspector of the forces while Brigadier General Mezui Zo’o Elie Romance is commander of the Rapid Intervention Brigade.
In territorial commands, Brigadier General Melingui Nouma Donatien is appointed commander of the first joint military region. Brigadier General Nchankou Mbouombouo Njindam Oumar is commander of the 11th motorized infantry brigade. Colonel Ekoman Ekoman Yves Edgard is the commander of the Headquarters brigade.

Colonel Aziz Njoya Yacouba is appointed commander of the 21st motorized infantry brigade in the second joint military region.
Rear Admiral ADE Nkwenti Hilary is the commander of the third joint military region. While Brigadier General Nouma Joseph is appointed commander of the fourth joint military region.
The third decree appoints Brigadier General Beko’o Abondo Raymond Jean Charles commander of the Presidential Guard.
