ONACC teams updated land use mapping, analyzed territorial evolution dynamics, and developed prospective scenarios. The mission also identified and characterized High Conservation Value Forests as well as forest areas with significant carbon stocks, strategic areas for biodiversity preservation and the fight against climate change.
The objective is also to integrate geospatial indicators compatible with the MRV system into the PLADDT, in order to strengthen the monitoring of landscape transformations and the evaluation of their environmental impacts. Ultimately, the commune of Yoko will have a consolidated geospatial database, updated land use maps, territorial evolution projections, and decision-making tools for sustainable natural resource management.
