In his speech, the Minister of Youth and Civic Education outlined the stakes of the 2026 camp. According to him, the youth camp “appears as a strategic instrument for national cohesion, conflict prevention, and the consolidation of harmonious coexistence. It is a republican space for learning respect for others, diversity, the law, and the general interest.”
The camp is taking place at a time when the public authorities are working to strengthen youth participation in decision-making and development. To this end, the minister places the camp among the frameworks that can raise young people’s awareness. Who can make them understand that “democracy is not just about voting, but also relies on peace, tolerance, and respect for institutions.” It also includes the rejection of all forms of manipulation, violence, or hate speech.

As the theme of the 2026 edition of the camp indicates, “Let’s change our mindset for a better future,” the minister is preparing young people to participate in the 2026 legislative and municipal elections and to equip themselves to benefit from the presidential promises announced for the current seven-year term.
The camp is thus a forum for exchange intended to train ambassadors of peace, civic-mindedness, and national integration. At the end of the event, the young participants will be able to serve as educational relays in their respective communities, particularly during election periods.
