In view of the upcoming legislative and municipal elections, the political party chaired by Chantal Kambiwa is launching the installation of district councils starting in the locality of Ngambè on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
The Cameroonian Front is opening the installation of district councils in the locality of Ngambè in the Sanaga-Maritime, Littoral region. In 24 hours, the political party will install the Ngambè council. This is an inaugural step in its activities for the period leading up to the next elections. It marks the party’s entry into a national dynamic of progressive establishment of its local structures in view of the upcoming ballots. The activity is presented as a key moment of proximity with local communities in prelude to the conquest of votes to sit on the councils and lead local authorities.

The party chose the Ngambè district because of its strong symbolic significance, marked by a political and structuring history for Cameroon. “Once a dynamic hub of the Sanaga-Maritime, Ngambè is today facing a profound decline, a consequence of poor governance. The municipality is gradually being emptied of its vital forces due to a lack of prospects for young people,” declares the national president. Chantal Kambiwa also indicates that the ambition of the Cameroonian Front is to send a strong signal in this locality as in all the territories where the party will establish its councils. “We want to make these municipalities true centers of life where people choose to stay, invest, and build,” she assures.

In Ngambè, the political formation will thus unite local vital forces to form a representative district council. It will be composed of young leaders and committed women capable of driving concrete transformations related to youth employability, the structuring of sustainable local value chains, and the opening up of villages. This phase marks the intensification of the political party’s field activities, which since the beginning of the year has launched a campaign to encourage young people to register massively on the electoral rolls. It is also implementing a training program for electoral observers.
