Rehabilitation work disrupts traffic in Yaoundé’s 6th district. Authorities call for vigilance and compliance with instructions on this strategic section.
In a statement dated March 26, 2026, the Mayor of the City of Yaoundé informs residents and road users that rehabilitation work is currently underway on the section connecting the Mvog Betsi intersection to the MEEC intersection, in the 6th district. This project, undertaken to durably improve the condition of the roadway, entails a temporary traffic arrangement.
Thus, an alternating traffic system has been put in place. The work takes place first on one of the two main lanes, before continuing on the second, in order to limit disruptions while ensuring the safety of teams on the ground.
Municipal authorities invite drivers to exercise caution and strictly comply with the instructions given on site by the company in charge of the work, in order to avoid any incident and to facilitate the smooth progress of the project.
