Douala, July 30, 2026 — Yango Ride, a subsidiary of the international technology group Yango Group, has launched its largest national driver recognition program to date in Cameroon, celebrating the top-performing partner drivers while reaffirming its commitment to professionalism, regulatory compliance, and service quality on its platform. The initiative culminated with a national recognition event at the Salle de Fête, Akwa Palace in Douala, bringing together the top-performing partner drivers, fleet partners, and company representatives from Douala, Yaoundé, and Bafoussam.

Designed to recognize excellence within the Yango Ride partner driver community, the program honored the 30 top-performing partner drivers in the Eco, Comfort, Moto, and Best Content Creator categories. The winners were selected based on a combination of driver ratings, trips completed, acceptance rates, and compliance with platform requirements and current regulations, recognizing both performance and professional standards.

As part of this initiative, Yango Ride also reaffirmed its commitment to regulatory compliance by introducing a special award recognizing the top-performing driver who met the requirements of the Blue Card issued by the government. This distinction highlights the company’s commitment to encouraging adherence to national transport regulations while celebrating professionalism and excellence within its network of partner drivers.

Throughout the event, partner drivers received a variety of rewards, including two brand-new motorcycles awarded by raffle as part of a dedicated Moto Challenge, as well as household appliances, fuel vouchers, Yango-branded items, and other prizes. The motorcycles were presented in recognition of the exceptional commitment of motorcyclists and to support them in developing their livelihoods.

“Our partner drivers are at the heart of everything we do. This recognition program is our way of celebrating those who consistently provide high-quality service while demonstrating professionalism and commitment to transport regulations in Cameroon,” said Dr. Clovis Pilla, General Manager of Yango Cameroon. “By recognizing excellence nationwide, we hope to encourage even more partner drivers to maintain high standards, meet Blue Card requirements, and contribute to safer and more reliable mobility services across the country.”

One of the motorcycle winners, Fotso Prosper Jr., said this reward represents much more than just recognition. “This motorcycle will help me work more efficiently, increase my income, and continue to support my family’s needs. I am grateful to Yango for recognizing the efforts of motorcyclists like me and for creating opportunities that reward hard work and dedication.”

The program reflects Yango Ride’s ongoing investment in the professional development of its partner driver community in Cameroon. Operating under a special S10 license since 2023, the company continues to promote safer, more reliable, and regulation-compliant mobility while supporting initiatives that help partner drivers succeed and provide high-quality service to passengers.
