Kigali, Rwanda, May 18, 2026 — Yango Group announced the launch of Yango Tech in Africa, thereby expanding its presence on the continent with a portfolio of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure solutions for businesses, urban authorities, and public sector organizations.

This expansion marks Yango Group’s evolution beyond consumer services in Africa towards B2B technology solutions and AI deployments. Yango Tech will support organizations in automating their operations, modernizing their infrastructures, and adopting AI tools in sectors such as mobility, healthcare, financial services, and retail.

According to McKinsey, generative artificial intelligence could generate between $61 billion and $103 billion in annual economic value in Africa, while more than 40% of organizations on the continent are already experimenting with or implementing AI-based solutions.

At the same time, demand for digital infrastructure and enterprise technologies continues to grow in African markets. GSMA estimates that the mobile sector contributed $220 billion to the African economy in 2024 and could reach $270 billion by 2030 as digital services and enterprise technologies develop.

Yango Tech’s African portfolio includes generative AI adoption programs, smart city technologies, healthcare digitalization solutions, as well as platforms for financial services and e-commerce. The company helps private companies and public sector organizations identify areas where AI can generate measurable business value, develop implementation roadmaps, assess return on investment, and integrate AI tools into daily operations. The offering also includes deployment support, AI governance frameworks, and training programs for leaders and operational teams.

“African markets show growing demand for automation, infrastructure modernization, and practical applications of artificial intelligence,” said Adeniyi Adebayo, Chief Business Officer of Yango Group. “Yango Tech’s goal is to help organizations implement technologies that can improve their operational efficiency and support their long-term digital transformation.”

In Central Asia, Yango Tech has already successfully deployed MaaS (Mobility as a Service) projects, including real-time ambulance tracking systems designed to improve emergency response coordination and provide better visibility to patients and dispatch centers.

The company has already begun deployments in Mozambique and South Africa, with projects covering mobility, healthcare, and e-commerce as a first step in a broader expansion across the continent.
