Cameroon continues its strategy to conquer international tourism markets. The Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Gabriel Mbairobe, received on May 22, 2026, a delegation from the company Couleurs du Monde, specialized in organizing group trips and directly managing tourist flows.
Led by Christine Bikai, a tourism expert based in Bordeaux, the delegation also included Cécile Perez, the company’s general manager, Véronique Dore, head of the Americas zone, as well as Karine Mathieu, financial director.
During the discussions, the leaders of Couleurs du Monde expressed their desire to mobilize their international network to direct, in the coming months, several hundred tourists to the Cameroon destination. The initiative aims in particular to promote the country’s natural, cultural, and heritage assets to a European and American clientele seeking new African destinations.
In response, Minister Gabriel Mbairobe welcomed this approach, which he considers a growth lever for the national tourism industry. He assured investors of the support of his ministerial department to facilitate the implementation of the project and strengthen the promotion of Cameroon abroad.
This cooperation comes at a time when the country is seeking to increase tourism’s contribution to the national economy and diversify its sources of income beyond traditional sectors.
