On August 28, 2026, the UNESCO Regional Office for Central Africa hosted an activity by Min’art & AMIS, bringing together young people around the making of outfits, jewelry, and local know-how in the service of Cultural and Creative Industries.
Heritage is not only preserved. It is passed on, worn, shaped, and reinvented.
It is around this belief that the UNESCO Regional Office for Central Africa hosted, on August 28, an activity led by Min’art & AMIS (Ancestral Moves Institute Summit), bringing together young people around Cameroonian cultural heritage.
On the program: intergenerational exchanges, making traditional outfits and jewelry, and promoting local know-how. A concrete immersion that created a living space of transmission between culture, youth, and creation.
Beyond the workshop, the meeting highlighted the economic and creative potential of these practices for the Cultural and Creative Industries in Cameroon. A way to transform ancestral heritage into a lever for innovation, employment, and identity.
