In the 2025-2026 season, the value of Cameroon’s cocoa bean exports fell by 63% to
400.9 billion FCFA. According to the ONCC, this underperformance is explained by a combined decrease in exported volumes and global prices.

Cameroonian cocoa is going through a turbulent period. The figures published by the National Office of Cocoa and Coffee (ONCC) show a significant decline for the 2025-2026 campaign. The value of cocoa bean exports reached 400.9 billion FCFA during the period. An amount down 63% compared to the previous season.
For the ONCC, this drop results from the combination of two factors. First, a decrease in exported volumes. Then, a fall in global prices which directly impacts the revenues of producers and the State.

Faced with this situation, sector stakeholders are calling for support measures. Between international price volatility and production challenges, the sector must strengthen its resilience.
