
At the end of the 26th edition of the finals of the games of the National Federation of School Sports A, the West region rises to the top of the general classification.
The Fenasco games, pitting students from secondary schools and teacher training colleges in Bafoussam and Bangangte, ended on Sunday, April 26, 2026. After seven days of competitions in several sports disciplines, the West region won the winner’s trophy at home. It occupies the first place on the podium after winning a total of 87 medals, including 34 gold, all categories combined. In the premier category of high schools and colleges, the region outclassed the others with 31 gold medals, 15 silver medals, and 28 bronze, totaling 74 in the category.

In the general classification, the West region is followed by the Centre region, which totals 57 medals including 19 gold, and the Littoral region with 63 medals including 17 gold. In football, the South-West region won the final duel against the Littoral region. Among the ENIEG and ENIET, the Far North region imposed its tactical superiority, ultimately garnering 9 gold medals. Littoral and West follow closely.
For a week, secondary school students competed in several disciplines including football, athletics, shot put, volleyball, handball, arm wrestling, in a spirit of fair play, team spirit, and social cohesion. Qualities that the Minister of Secondary Education appreciated in his closing remarks for the competition. The government member unveiled the host region for the 27th edition of the Fenasco A games. It will take place in Yaoundé in the Centre region. To this end, Pauline Nalova Lyonga entrusted the flag of the organization of the next Fenasco games to the educational officials of the region hosting the institutions.
