September 15 marks the end of counting operations as part of the 4th General Census of Population and Housing coupled with the Census of Agriculture and Livestock. The coverage rate remains below expectations.

Launched on April 24, 2026, extended on May 29 and July 31, the 4th General Census of Population and Housing, coupled with the census of agriculture and livestock, ends on September 15, 2026. This is the deadline set by the Prime Minister, head of government, in his decree of July 31. The date on which operations were to end at the end of the first extension. But they were called to continue after the observation of low coverage. Only about 60% of the population had been counted by July 31.

The additional 45 days of work aimed to cover the remaining 40%. However, at the end of the added period, according to unconsolidated and not yet official statistics, the efforts increased the coverage rate to 75%. That is 15% more.
