Held under the theme “Promoting children’s rights in Cameroon: a requirement for sustainable inclusive development,” this edition brings together public authorities, technical and financial partners as well as various social protection actors. The common goal remains to guarantee every child equitable access to their fundamental rights.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Social Affairs, Pauline Irène Nguene, emphasized that this edition takes place in a particularly worrying social context. “This month occurs in a context marked by violence against children, infanticides, and all kinds of abuse towards children,” she said.
