Six months after his release from prison, the former director general of the Special Fund for Intercommunal Equipment and Intervention (FEICOM) dies.
Many years in prison close his stay on earth. A case of embezzlement of 36 billion CFA francs sends him behind bars following his arrest in February 2006 as part of the Sparrowhawk operation. After 20 years of detention and six months of freedom, the former director general of Feicom passes away at a time when he is breathing the air of freedom with thanksgiving to the Lord and gratitude towards the President of the Republic.
Years of trials mark the man’s journey with a judicial saga in several episodes. Sentenced in first instance to 50 years in prison, the sentence was reduced on appeal to 20 years before being increased to 30 years by the Supreme Court. Released on February 21, 2026, he had served his sentence.
Happy to have faced this ordeal after his release from prison, he was also glad to have reunited with all family members except his mother who died while he was in detention. When Emmanuel Gérard Ondo Ndong left prison, his body showed signs of weakness. Fatigue resulting from successive illnesses treated during detention indicate the effects of it on the person.

Besides the body then under influence, the man’s assets were seized. The Debt Recovery Company sold his movable and immovable property at auction to return embezzled funds to the State. This descent into hell began when he was relieved of his duties as director general of Feicom on November 11, 2005, a year before his arrest. These last years of his life, hidden in this case, reveal the journey of a man who would be spoken of today with recognition if it were not for the Sparrowhawk operation.
