The leadership crisis within the Castel Group is entering a new phase. While Romy Castel and her supporters are putting the group’s CEO, Grégory Clerc, on the hot seat by filing a lawsuit to confirm his dismissal, he continues to receive support from the majority of the Group.

On August 28, the four majority branches of the Castel family expressed their support for the director. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuity and stability in the Group’s governance. This majority in favor of Grégory Clerc wants to maintain the Group’s ability to fulfill its responsibilities in the interest of the Group, its employees, and all its partners, declared the four branches, emphasizing respect for the balance and harmony of the five family branches.
Indeed, according to a communication from four of these five family branches, the patrimonial organization established by Mr. Pierre Castel sets up five family branches that benefit from the Singapore law fund to which the Castel Group belongs. Each branch holds 20% of the fund’s shares. In this respect, Romy Castel represents only one branch out of five. Her claims to prove otherwise, both to the press and to the courts, are “misleading” according to the other four branches. Her supporters and she thus constitute only a “small minority of the Castel family members and are not authorized to speak on its behalf.”
