The initiative is part of the Support Program for the Professionalization of the Teaching Profession in Cameroon (PAPMEC), supported by the Global Partnership for Education and jointly implemented by MINEDUB and MINESEC, with the support of UNESCO and UNICEF.
With the technical support of UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education, the mission is decisive: to develop, harmonize, and participatively validate the data collection instruments – questionnaires, interview guides, observation grids – that will allow reliable information to be gathered on the practices, needs, and expectations of all actors in the education system.

More than just a technical production, this exercise lays the foundation for the future Common Curricular Orientation Framework Document, which will bring together five ministries: MINEDUB, MINESEC, MINESUP, MINJEC, and MINEFOP. The challenge is political: to end the fragmentation of programs and sustainably professionalize the teaching profession in Cameroon.
