The Louis René Epée foals were heavily defeated at home by a technically superior Angolan team.

Cameroon experienced a nightmarish evening on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Yaoundé Sports Palace. Facing Angola in the qualifiers for the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026, the Indomitable Lions were heavily defeated with an irrefutable score of 12 goals to 0. A humiliating defeat that left supporters stunned.

From the first minutes, the Cameroonians appeared out of their depth. Lack of technique, sloppy control, non-existent ball circulation: the very basics of futsal were missing.

The players fielded by Louis René Epée, mostly from 11-a-side football, quickly showed their limitations in a discipline requiring specific profiles.
Faced with this disorganized Cameroonian team, Angola played their game with impressive mastery. Franclin Graca, the Angolan coach, was never worried. João Josemar Cambangula delighted the crowd with his technique and liveliness, proving simply unstoppable.
At halftime, the score was already irrefutable (0-8). Goalkeeper Menpong Ebouok Kenneth delayed the inevitable for a long time, making numerous saves, but the gap in skill level was too great. In the second half, Cameroon tried to limit the damage by strengthening their defensive setup, without success.

The Tunisian referee Nabil Gueddich finally ended the ordeal with a score of 0-12. This defeat highlights Cameroon’s lag in futsal, a discipline still underdeveloped locally. The return match is scheduled for February 8 in Angola, but beyond the result, a real foundational effort is needed to hope to compete in the future.
