Following the postponement of the start of the third term, the Minister of Secondary Education, Pauline Nalova Lyonga, is revising the initial schedule of educational activities for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year.

The postponement to April 27, 2026, of the start of the last term of the school year, originally scheduled for April 20, has consequences on the original school calendar. It disrupts the educational activities planned during the week of April 20 to 24. The Minister of Secondary Education has just sent the regional delegates of secondary education the adjustments made to the school calendar following the changes caused by the rescheduling of the FENASCO games.

As a reminder, the Minister of Secondary Education made a decision to postpone the start of the third term to April 27 following the postponement of the FENASCO “A” games during the week preceding April 27. These various shifts occur in the context of Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Cameroon from April 15 to 18, 2026. The departmental delegate for secondary education of Mfoundi banned educational activities, remedial classes, as well as any gathering of students within schools during the period from April 14, the day before the pope’s arrival, to April 19, 2026, the day after the pope’s return.
