Cameroon’s Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, received diplomat Nina Oualet Intallou on April 08, 2026, at his office in Yaoundé.

As part of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Cameroon and Mali, the newly designated ambassador of the Republic of Mali visited the Minister of External Relations of Cameroon on Wednesday. H.E. Nina Oualet Intallou presented the figurative copies of her credentials to H.E. Lejeune Mbella Mbella. The two figures reviewed the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries. They also noted the need to further strengthen them through the reactivation of the Great Joint Commission for Cooperation, the scheduling of which will be fixed by mutual agreement, according to the website of the Ministry of External Relations of Cameroon.

Ms. Nina Oualet Intallou is a lawyer and politician who served her country extensively at home before being sent to represent it abroad. A graduate in public law from the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the University of Bamako, she also holds a diploma in general accounting from the Loko course in Abidjan, according to the Malian news site bamada.net. As a politician, she served as the 1st deputy mayor of the commune of Essouk and 4th vice-president of the High Council of Local Authorities of Mali. Known for defending the Tuareg cause, she is presented as a member of the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA). A former Minister of Handicrafts and Tourism, she was appointed Ambassador of Mali to Japan in July 2022.
