The Port Authority of Douala launches a strategic overhaul of its telecommunications infrastructure to gain performance, security, and digital sovereignty.

The Port Authority of Douala is taking a new step in its modernization. In partnership with Innovendi Data Technologies & Communications, the institution is undertaking a profound transformation of its telecommunications ecosystem with the aim of centralizing and streamlining previously fragmented infrastructures to improve governance and service efficiency.
At the heart of the project is the implementation of a single neutral network capable of meeting all the needs of the port domain, from data exchange to solutions, including interconnections and digital services. This architecture aims to provide homogeneous coverage and ensure better control of flows.
Service continuity for existing operators is another pillar of the system, with a regulated interconnection to the central network. At the same time, the Port intends to curb the disorderly multiplication of installations by strictly regulating new deployments and progressively integrating existing infrastructures into a coherent scheme.
This dynamic also relies on reinforced collaboration with all port stakeholders, which is essential to facilitate the inventory of equipment and support their migration to the new system.
Ultimately, the Port of Douala aims to establish itself as an integrated, secure, and innovative digital platform, serving national and regional logistical competitiveness.
