The Republican Forum sounds the alarm. Assaults, kidnappings, rapes, and murders are multiplying. In a press release dated April 5, 2026, the movement demands immediate and radical measures from the State.
Cameroon is on maximum alert. No neighborhood is spared today. Everywhere, populations live in fear of assaults, kidnappings, and violent crimes that are multiplying uncontrollably.
The Republican Forum (FORE), in a press release signed on April 5, 2026, denounces major failures: unreachable emergency numbers, interventions that are too slow, insufficient resources for security forces, and the slowness of judicial procedures which gives free rein to impunity.
“We say STOP,” states FORE. The movement demands:
The continuous presence of security forces in all neighborhoods.
Functional emergency numbers 24/7.
Adequate logistical resources: fuel, vehicles, equipment.
The creation of locally supervised vigilance committees.
Fast and firm justice, without complacency.
The press release insists on the need to speed up trials for serious crimes and to strengthen criminal sanctions, while respecting the legal framework.
FORE strongly reminds: the law must apply everywhere and always. Criminals must be sought, arrested, and punished. Citizens must be protected.
“We refuse to let fear take hold in our neighborhoods. We refuse impunity. Cameroon must once again become a safe country,” concludes the Republican Forum.
Zero tolerance for insecurity. Zero tolerance for impunity. Act for life, act for you.
