The Autonomous Port of Kribi (PAK) takes a new step in its corporate social responsibility policy. Gathered on June 1, 2026 at the PAK representation in Yaoundé, the leaders of the port company and the NGO Helen Keller International (HKI) signed a memorandum of understanding paving the way for a renewable three-year cooperation in favor of community health.
The agreement targets several major health priorities, including the promotion of school and community health, the fight against blinding diseases, the reduction of malnutrition, as well as the prevention of neglected tropical diseases. These are challenges that still affect many communities and for which the two partners intend to pool their expertise.
On this occasion, the Director General of PAK welcomed a collaboration with an organization recognized internationally for its action in favor of public health. According to him, this partnership strengthens the initiatives already undertaken by the Port of Kribi to improve the well-being of the local populations.

The two institutions also plan to quickly materialize this cooperation through a first specific agreement dedicated to the prevention of avoidable blindness and the promotion of eye health in schools. The project will primarily target localities located within the port’s area of influence.
Through this alliance, PAK confirms its desire to make inclusive and sustainable development a central lever of its action, combining economic performance, social investment, and enhancement of human capital.
