Cameroun: Zomlo'o demand justice after the barbaric assassination of Marie Louise Mballa Ntsama

The traditional leaders of the Ekang Beti Benanga people have sent a letter to the Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals to express their indignation following the assassination of their “subject”.

Blood has been shed. A life has been violently taken. The crime remains unpunished. The alleged assassins are still free. The traditional leaders of the Ekang Beti Benanga are indignant. According to them, Louise Mballa Ntsama met her death “in horrific circumstances, leaving unwanted grief in her family”. However, neither information nor communication has yet been made regarding the investigations opened into this other case of savage and inhumane assassination. And which is similar to that of the head of Amplitude FM radio station, Martinez Zogo.

The Zomlo’o are demanding justice for Louise Mballa Ntsama from the Minister of Justice, Laurent Esso, to whom they are asking for clarification on the stalled investigation. For them, the modus operandi is similar to that of the assassination of Martinez Zogo. However, for the journalist, “on the mere suspicion” of high-ranking personalities of the Republic, arrests were made. And the judicial procedure is ongoing. They denounce the double standard of justice that seems to be present in the case of Louise Mballa Ntsama, in which no arrests have yet been mentioned.



In the absence of culprits, and if nothing is done, the Zomlo’o announce spiritual rites aimed at sanctioning all those who participated directly or indirectly in this assassination. They are pleased in this regard with the rites performed after the discovery of the body of their son Martinez Zogo, which reportedly produced positive results.

As a reminder, on the night of January 6 to 7, 2026, Marie Louise Mballa, a Franco-Cameroonian on vacation in Cameroon, was fatally stabbed at her home in the Mvan district, at the Beac Complex, two days after her return to the country. The assailants broke into her home before committing their crime, leaving the body with several wounds. An investigation was opened and her guardian was taken in as the main suspect. Following this tragedy, the regional directorate of judicial police of the Centre launched a national wanted notice for a dangerous man named Mamadou Baba, wanted for murder.
