In Yaoundé, the Collège Catholique Bilingue de la Retraite hosted a 2026 edition of the Education Forum resolutely focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, calling for a deep rethinking of school orientation.

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, the Collège Catholique Bilingue de la Retraite served as the setting for a new edition of the Education Forum, now well established in the local educational agenda. Placed under the patronage of Archbishop Jean Mbarga of Yaoundé, the meeting focused on a theme in line with contemporary challenges: academic orientation as a springboard to entrepreneurship.

From the early hours, students, teachers, parents, and partners were present, driven by the same ambition: to rethink orientation no longer as a simple school step, but as a real lever for value creation. The challenge is clear: to train young people capable of integrating, but above all, of initiating.

In his opening remarks, Serge Evina, president of the organizing committee, welcomed the collective mobilization and insisted on the urgency of adapting educational paths to economic realities. A vision shared by Father Clément Nkodo Manga, the school’s principal, who recalled the school’s vocation: to train responsible, bold, and impactful minds. For his part, the president of APECY highlighted the decisive role of families in supporting orientation choices.

A highlight of the day, the intervention of Archbishop Jean Mbarga left a lasting impression. In a committed speech, he called for a paradigm shift: moving beyond the logic of the diploma to train builders, capable of innovating, creating wealth, and actively contributing to the development of society.

The forum also celebrated excellence, with the presentation of awards to the winners of the March 13 Olympiads, to the applause of a captivated audience. Between exchanges, artistic performances by students provided a cultural breather, revealing creativity and talent.
Finally, the exhibition stands encouraged direct exchanges between learners and training institutions, allowing everyone to refine their future projects.
At the end of this busy day, one conviction stands out: the 2026 Education Forum did not just inform, it sparked vocations. A school focused on initiative and innovation is emerging, where every student is invited to become the actor of their own destiny.
