The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa, invites women and young people with environmental initiatives to seize the opportunities offered by the International Organization of La Francophonie in the Congo Basin.
Mrs. Thérèse Abena Ondoa, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, informs the public of the launch of three calls for applications by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF). This initiative is part of the implementation of the action project related to supporting environmental initiatives in the Congo Basin.
According to the ministry’s press release, these calls specifically aim to select incubators responsible for supporting the development of environmental solutions and innovations led by women and young people in the sub-region. The program also includes the selection of partner structures called upon to support youth agricultural entrepreneurship.
A third component concerns the development of educational farms associated with school canteen programs, an approach intended to strengthen education, food security, and awareness of environmental protection.
Through these initiatives, the OIF intends to encourage sustainable projects and promote the economic empowerment of women and young people in the Congo Basin, considered one of the planet’s main ecological lungs.
Interested candidates and project leaders are invited to consult the OIF website as well as its Facebook page to learn about the eligibility criteria and participation procedures. Applications must be submitted no later than March 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
