15 MW of installed capacity, 150 million FCFA provisional budget and three international firms pre-selected: Hydro-Mekin initiates preparatory studies for the rehabilitation of its hydroelectric plant located on the Dja River, in the Southern region.

Hydro-Mekin takes a new step in upgrading its production tool. The company has pre-selected three international firms to conduct the technical studies prior to the rehabilitation of its 15 MW hydroelectric plant, located on the Dja River.

With a provisional budget of 150 million FCFA, financed from the company’s autonomous budget, this mission will establish a complete diagnosis of the state of the facilities. The experts will notably be tasked with evaluating the damage caused by major events in recent years and identifying the essential work needed to restore the performance of the structure.

These studies will serve as the basis for a future rehabilitation program, specifying the technical solutions to be implemented as well as the required investments. For Hydro-Mekin, the objective is to restore the reliability of this strategic infrastructure and to sustainably secure its contribution to electricity supply in the Southern region.
