
The United States and Russia agreed on Thursday to re-establish high-level dialogue between their armies in Abu Dhabi, according to a statement released by the U.S. European Command.

The dialogue channel had been suspended in the fall of 2021, before the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict, the statement recalls.
This re-establishment follows several meetings held in the Emirati capital with Alexus G. Grynkewich, commander of the U.S. European Command, and senior Russian and Ukrainian military officials, the document adds.
