Beyond its academic scope, this agreement has a political and strategic dimension in a context where several regions of the continent continue to face the consequences of armed conflicts. The two institutions intend to develop applied research programs on issues of peace, security, and the protection of vulnerable populations, especially children exposed to the risks of recruitment by armed groups.
The partnership also includes organizing international conferences, specialized seminars, and training sessions for students, doctoral candidates, and teacher-researchers. The goal is to strengthen African capacities in analysis, prevention, and crisis management.
