Gathered on May 11, 2026, at the Jean XXIII Center in Mvolyé, Yaoundé, the stakeholders monitoring the mobilization of FEICOM’s financial resources engaged in a reflection on the implementation of local tax reforms and the improvement of control mechanisms over the revenues of decentralized local authorities.

The Director General of FEICOM, Camille Akoa, opened on Monday, May 11, 2026, the Conference of stakeholders monitoring the mobilization of FEICOM’s financial resources, around the theme dedicated to optimizing local revenues and applying the new provisions of the local taxation law.

This meeting aims to evaluate the performance recorded in resource mobilization, while strengthening control mechanisms through a standardized tool called the “Operational Monitoring Guide for the Revenues of CTD and FEICOM.” For several days, FEICOM officials, experts from the General Directorate of Taxes, Customs, and Treasury will share their experiences to improve the efficiency of the revenue collection and monitoring system.

The context is marked by reforms undertaken within the State’s financial administrations, considered key partners in financing local development. For FEICOM, the challenge is to ensure better security of resources intended for decentralized local authorities, in an environment where financing needs continue to grow.

Beyond the diagnosis, the conference also aims to be a capacity-building framework. Experts from the Ministry of Finance are called upon to enlighten participants on the implications of tax reforms, prospects for expanding the customs base, and the expected impacts on local revenues. Opening the proceedings, Camille Akoa urged his teams to capitalize on the exchanges and formulate concrete solutions, recalling that resource mobilization remains “the backbone” of FEICOM’s activity.
