
The Economic Forum for Import-Substitution with Latin America opened on Tuesday in Yaoundé, reported CRTV, the public Cameroonian media.
Scheduled until April 23, the event brings together economic operators, particularly from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and Chile. According to the organizers, discussions focus on investments, technology transfer, and the development of local production capacities.

Organized by the Cameroonian Ministry of External Relations in partnership with the Investment Promotion Agency, the forum positions itself as an instrument of economic diplomacy serving the country’s import-substitution policy.
According to the same sources, more than 300 companies, approximately 500 participants, and nearly 2,000 visitors are expected. Business meetings, round tables, and agreement signings are on the agenda.
