
An agreement and the inauguration of a learning center mark a new era in relations between IRIC and the Maarif Foundation of Türkiye.
On April 7, 2026, the International Relations Institute of Cameroon and the Maarif Foundation reached a decisive milestone in their collaboration. The two institutions proceeded in Yaoundé to sign a memorandum of understanding, followed by the official inauguration of a Turkish Language and Civilization Learning Center within IRIC.

The ceremony, marked by the presence of a large Turkish delegation and administrative and academic officials from the Institute, consecrates the strengthening of an already solid partnership. The Director of IRIC, Daniel Urbain Ndongo, hailed a historic moment, highlighting the strategic importance of this cooperation for the international openness of the establishment.

For his part, the representative of the Maarif Foundation welcomed the culmination of this project, which aims to promote the Turkish language and strengthen cultural and academic exchanges.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of documents and the symbolic ribbon-cutting, marking the commissioning of this new space dedicated to intercultural dialogue and the training of Cameroonian students.
